OUR ROOTS

Argot’s Hardware was founded in 1993 by Gordon Argot. Previously Clark’s Hardware, Gordon envisioned a thriving hardware store to serve the local community. He proceeded to grow his business for the next 28 years, fulfilling his vision for the store. Today we bring you a continuation of what has been established for over 28 years - a depth of products, knowledgeable, friendly and familiar staff, and an above average customer experience. Beyond this, we now offer framing and treated lumber, plywood, drywall and more at our location in Effort. We also have access to a full spectrum of lumber products & building supplies at our partner location, Saylorsburg Lumber.
